Too Long

Every time I think the series can’t get better, I.A Dice does it again… This series spans SEVERAL years and ends with the triplets (Connor, Cody and Colt) finally getting their stories.

While we were introduced to them in book one, Too Much, they were teenagers who didn’t get a lot of face time. They were completely indecipherable to one another, so getting to dive into their backgrounds and watch them grow up was so rewarding.

After months of waiting, Too Long is out in the world and boy was it worth the wait. After the cliffhanger we were left on in book five, I have been impatiently waiting to hear how Colt almost died. I wish Dice would’ve gone into some more detail about that instead of doing a three year time jump, but I wouldn’t change any other detail about this book.

I saw a lot of myself in Colt; all of my friends are married and having kids right now and I am still working on getting a date lol. I understand everyone has their own timeline, but it doesn’t make it any less lonely during the journey. While the book made me jealous and that much more eager to find someone, it also reminded me that everything happens for a reason and that you can’t rush love.

Colt deserved this more than any of his brothers and closed out this series with a cherry on top. He proved over and over again that he was the right man for Addie and knew exactly how to treat her. I loved his fierce need to protect her and his dominance in the bedroom…

The banter and attentiveness that they both had for each other was definitely something (if I could pick) I would want my future husband to possess. While I am not usually a fan of insta-love, they were truly thrown into the fire together and got to know each other extremely well with all the time they spent together.

Even though it’s not a competition because they don’t exist, Colt definitely moved up to the number one Hayes brother on my list. If you like strangers-to-lovers, fake dating romance reads, buckle up because this is the sixth book in a series so you got some catching up to do 🙂
