Something Like Hate

This book was so so good!! I loved the enemies-to-lovers role and reporter / player dynamic. The tension between them sneaking around was so fun and I wish it had been a little bit longer to really drag out them being together, but was on the edge of my seat anyways.

The DRAMA at the end was crazy. Talk about a scorned woman indeed. I don’t want to give anything away but I definitely did not see that coming. I enjoyed the plot twist and definitely think it helped Bryce and Matt figure out what was truly important to them.

I’m excited for Damen’s story next. He is definitely the wild card of this friend group and is not ready to settle down. It’s the reason I love stand-alone series so much because you already get to know a little bit about the characters before reading their story which always makes it easier for me to dive into it.

This was another great read by Piper Rayne and so easy. I flew through this and could barely put it down. If you love sports romance and Chicago (like me) you’re going to love this book and the rest of the stand-alone series!
