Deep End

No one's surprised, but in case you didn't hear, Ali wrote another hit.

As a former student-athlete in college myself, I actually geeked out by how accurate she portrayed the work-life balance of our main characters. The time demands are no joke and the fact that they were earning arguably some of the hardest degrees, at Stanford nonetheless, was so impressive.

For me, I will always eat up a book with a possessive MMC and Lukas gave protective a whole new meaning. His dom personality was so attractive and it elevated all of his and Scarlett's interactions together.

My only "critique" with an otherwise flawless book was while the spice was chef's kiss, they went through a pretty in-depth list of kinks that I personally don't feel was explored to the full potential. For them to have had as many sit down conversations as they did about what they're into and cross reference their lists together, the spice was more vanilla than I expected it to be. In no way was it boring, just a little ~less~ than I had anticipated.

Overall, it's a great read and is definitely one to binge through in one sitting.

Book Rating: 4/5
