Second-chance romance is really growing on me, and it's all Morgan Elizabeth's fault...
As a communications major, second-chance romances usually end in the first place because of some issue rooted/deep misunderstanding that ultimately could’ve been resolved if the MC’s acted like the adults they were and talked it out. So when I found out there was a solid reason why they broke up and that they hadn’t wasted 7 years of their life was a breath of fresh air.
In true Morgan Elizabeth fashion, she is able to hit on some very sensitive and triggering topics in a way that is so informative and respectful. She never glamorizes or hides how painful these situations are and shows us how it can affect people as well as the people around them.
If you enjoyed Lauren Asher’s Final Offer or Christina Lauren’s Love & Other Words, you will absolutely love this one as much as I did. Stella and Riggs went through so much and really fought to be with each other and I couldn’t get enough.
Lastly, thank you Morgan and Valentine PR for sending me an ARC copy of this book. I loved it so much and can’t wait for book 2 in the series!
*Adding some of my fav quotes below if you need anymore convincing to read this book!!
“You’ve got all my love, little star. Always have, always will.”
“Can’t see the stars without darkness, Stella. I don’t regret anything that happened, not when I got my star back in the end.”
“Mine. You’d come on tour as mine, Stella.”
“Friends don’t kiss like you kissed me last night, Stella.”
“You’re mine. That means I take care of you.”
“You’re my everything, Stella.”
“I’ll take you any way you’ll give me, Stell. That’s what you’re not getting. Sad, happy, scared, I’ll take it so long as you’re also mine.”
