Still reeling from all the emotions I felt in this book.
While this book is fictional, it's based on real life events that happened and I'm sure the story hits close to home for some.
We are quickly introduced to four main characters; each one with a different "hunter" that shapes their mindset and story as they tell it from their perspectives.
The events that take place in this book are graphic and not for the faint of heart and as hard as it was to read, I understand the importance of telling stories like this.
It's as real as real gets and definitely not a book I would ever pick up on my own. Thank you to my bookclub (shoutout to yinz read n'at) for helping me step outside of my comfort zone and for the great discussion we were able to have on this read.
If you're curious at all bout this book, I recommend you give it a try. It's not a pretty story, but a story that needed to be told.
Book Rating: 5/5
